At iPLANETS ACADEMY, we help educate our children, fostering a love of learning, helping to instill self-worth, and inspiring future entrepreneurship within our children.
D.I.C.E, which stands for Discovery, Intelligence (All 9), Cognitive, and Exploration; focuses not only on those in the past, but also current events, and present history in the making within our community.

D.I.C.E. is a FUN while Learning, nurturing, safe, stimulating, hands-on micro-environment concept offering multiple and diverse developmentally appropriate heavily STREAMS (STEM), project, inquiry, and problem-based activities that balance between teacher-facilitated instruction and child-initiated activities.

D.I.C.E. seeks to awaken our children's inner gifts so they can pursue their own passion and dreams.

D.I.C.E. integrated curriculum connects heads, hearts, and hands, allowing our children to approach concepts and content from multiple perspectives at developmentally appropriate points.
Our children are encouraged to reflect regularly on their social-emotional, spiritual, and physical development as well as their academic learning.
D.I.C.E. supports children in developing creativity, initiative, and building higher-order thinking skills by questioning, investigating, analyzing, exploring, processing information, evaluating, problem-solving, and communicating in their ongoing collaboration with peers, to pursue their passions, to challenge, to innovate, to build character, to build relationships and friendships, and sharing what they see, know, and understand deciding who they will be in society while leading the next generation.
At iPLANETS ACADEMY our focus is not just on the here and now.
We want to know what shall they do with all this information they are absorbing?

How will it translate later in life?
Not just in their school years or college, but what career path shall they take?
What type of character will they have?
Because what good is it to know all this information if it doesn't actually translate to something tangible in life?

At iPLANETS ACADEMY, we want our children to become
laser-focused earlier in life on what their passions are and what they want to do with their lives so they can spend more of their formative years honing those skills and gaining knowledge on it.

Although we use D.I.C.E within our weekly themes, the children’s individual or collective interests play a role in shaping our daily classroom curricula.
They will learn a wealth of information in class, but learning is not confined to just our classrooms or from our textbooks.
We don't just want them to consume, and memorize facts or figures, but rather we want them to learn through real world hand-on experiences.

Our goal is to foster a love of learning and learning is found everywhere. The world is vast and everything in it is a learning opportunity for us. This is why we spend 75% within our 4 walls and 25% outside of them learning, exploring, and participating.

iPLANETS ACADEMY strives to create strong bonds between our families and offer a more harmonious, neighborly community because we recognize that our
children families are the primary educators and play a vital role in a child’s development and quality education.
We welcome our parents to share their interests, talents, to volunteer at iPLANETS ACADEMY, and within the community helping to create an ethnically, culturally, economically diverse united community bolstering our children’s learning, growth, and development.
At iPLANETS ACADEMY we use a progressive learning approach which seeks to involve all members of the community in learning. Our children are given a strong voice and stake in the learning process, from deciding how to show their understanding of a given topic, to helping shape the units of study themselves through exploring, asking questions, researching, and coming to their own conclusions. We are guides and partners in the learning process and listen deeply and carefully to our children.
Learning is active and experiential and often integrates various subject matter as our children work towards greater understanding. All our children are encouraged to learn beyond our four walls. Progressive education values the heart along with the mind and because of this, time and space are given for social and emotional learning.
Our children learn to navigate relationships with peers, identify and manage their own emotions, and advocate for their needs. We see them as individuals and are highly valued as such. We differentiate instruction, taking into account development needs and their interests; to challenge each child, while providing scaffolding for their success.

Making connections and understanding our place in the world is central to our mission. By providing students with opportunities to be involved in learning and serving in their community from the very start, we allow them to see themselves as active participants in their world. We want our children to leave us with strong voices, minds, and hearts.

DROP INS FOR EVENING CLASSES and FUN TIMES
It is important for children to have a safe and productive way to spend time in the Evenings. Kids unattended in the Evening times may worry, eat poorly, not be protected from pedophiles, watch too much television, or neglect their homework.
Fortunately, we have a great
Evening Enrichment Classes so your school-aged child from Kindergarten-Eighth Grade will have a place to go where they can continue their learning, work on homework, interact, and relax with friends. We only take Pre-K students afterschool that are enrolled with us, NO EXCEPTIONS!
Our Evening Enrichment Classes is everything you ever wanted; it's a safe, fun experience and more! We provide transportation and take in drop-ins as space allows.
iPLANETS ACADEMY PRIMARY Class is for children who are 4-5 years of age.
The PRIMARY Class is for Pre-Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarteners. They must have an attention span to sit in a class setting for lessons that are 20-30 minutes at a time and be writing already.
During this time in their development, children are yearning for independence and have maturity beyond their years.
We realize this and work to create a stimulating and challenging environment that forms a strong cognitive base for higher learning.

As the children begin to acquire more independence, they learn about making decisions for themselves as individuals and as part of a team.
Our ELEMENTARY Class at iPLANETS ACADEMY is for child(ren) in the Kindergarten, First, and Second grade.
The children in this class must be writing already and have an attention span to do lessons for at least 30-45 minutes at a time.
GO HERE to see a list of some of the concepts we will be learning.

OVERNIGHTS
Why do many of our parents choose iPLANETS ACADEMY for Overnights?
Because we live in a different time when a growing number of parents have unconventional employment schedules, or may need a safe place for their children to go while they take a much-needed night off, or for emergency purposes where they may need to go out-of-town, etc.

Along with excellent care, all the children will have a delicious kid-friendly meal or snack along with fun and educational activities.

We have created a caring, respectful learning environment in which all our children can thrive. All of our programs—whether in the classroom, or our educational field days in the community—foster cooperation, creative and critical thinking, and the development of personal and social responsibility.
Our teaching philosophy centers on helping our children to develop the knowledge, skills, and habits of scholarship that are critical to success in life. Instruction stresses inquiry-based learning and higher-order thinking.
We engage the children in the ongoing exercises of grappling with essential questions that guide their units of study. Our children's acquisition of increasingly sophisticated skills and methods of approaching complex issues and projects are assessed regularly.
